Ploughing through thousands of search-engine results looking for the hosting package that really suits your needs can be daunting, to say the least! In fact, many customers buy hosting packages without really knowing what they're getting. Many hosting companies offer phenominal disk-space and bandwidth quotas, and then mention things like PHP, MySQL, Fantastico, Elephante, cPanel etc., almost expecting everyone to know what these all mean and do. This naivity within our industry can, in our opinion, only lead to discontent within our prospective customer base. Here at Netnibble we like to think that we are different. Let's look at the facts ... - Most people use Windows PCs at home and work, so the prospect of using a Linux hosting system (with all the nuts and bolts offered) can actually cause trepidation amongst customers new to the business of web site design and hosting.
- We use what we sell, and we like to show you what we use and how we use it. This, at least, gives you an idea of what all these gizmos offered in web hosting packages are, and then you can use your own creativity to adapt them to your needs.
- And now for the best part - Almost all of these scripts, packages and tools are FREE! Within the Linux community are hundreds of programmers who write software for their own projects (and enjoyment) and then release them to the world, usually under the free GNU/GPL License. Along with these programmers are thousands of other developers who design bolt-ons for the main scripts, themes to make them look different, and a number of other utilities, all released for other people to adapt and use for their own web sites.
So welcome to our demo site! Here we're installing a number of the free scripts available with our cPanel, Fantastico and Elephante packages so that you can take a look at them and get a more informed idea of what they look like and do. Feel free to browse through the menus on the left to look at the different scripts available to you - Wherever possible we've installed the default script and one or more alternative themes or skins, so that you can see the different "looks" a program can take on. We've also tried to add various bolt-on components and external modules (like banner advertising and Google AdSense) to give you a better overall feel of how a site can look. In some cases you will need to be a registered user to change the theme you see - Just register on any that interest you and play around a little - These are all demo sites, so you won't do any damage. In line with our global privacy policy, we do not use any registration information you provide to add you to mailing lists etc. If you'd like to see more of something here, just drop us a line via our Contact Form and we'll see what we can do! All demos open in a new window (you may need to allow pop-ups) so that you can simply close the new window to return here and select another demo. |
